Stem Connect Field Tech is a field service and installation management application designed for use by authorised technicians, partners, and contractors operating within the Stem Connect network. The application facilitates job assignment, site verification, installation reporting, and operational workflow management for field-based personnel.

Stem Connect Field Tech is developed and maintained by Intentio on behalf of Stem Connect. In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", or "our" refers collectively to Intentio and Stem Connect. "You" refers to the authorised technician, partner, or contractor using the application.

• Operational support — providing technical and administrative support to field personnel and operations teams
• Security and fraud prevention — protecting the integrity of operational records, preventing unauthorised access, and detecting misuse
• Platform reliability and performance — monitoring, improving, and maintaining the stability and performance of the application
• Regulatory and compliance obligations — meeting applicable legal, regulatory, audit, and contractual requirements

Information is processed only to the extent necessary for these legitimate operational purposes. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling for commercial marketing, or any purpose unrelated to the delivery of Stem Connect's field service operations.

Why Location Access Is Required

Location access is required to support site verification, confirming that technicians are present at assigned service locations, and to generate accurate records associated with installation and service events. Location data helps Stem Connect maintain the integrity and accountability of its field operations.

When Location Is Accessed

Location data is accessed and recorded during active job workflows — for example, when you check in at a site, record a job event, or complete an installation. The application does not continuously track your location outside of active operational workflows.

Background Location

You may manage location permissions for Stem Connect Field Tech through your device settings at any time. Restricting location access may limit the functionality of certain features that depend on site verification.

Stem Connect Field Tech requests access to your device's camera in order to support installation evidence capture and site documentation.

Why Camera Access Is Required

Camera access is required to enable technicians to capture photographs as part of job completion workflows. These photographs serve as verifiable evidence of installations, site conditions, equipment deployed, and work performed.

How Photos Are Used

Photographs captured through Stem Connect Field Tech form part of the official operational job record for the associated work order or installation. Uploaded images are stored securely and are accessible to authorised Stem Connect operational personnel for verification, reporting, and support purposes.

Camera access is used only when you actively initiate photo capture within the application. The app does not access the camera in the background or capture images without your direct action.

You may manage camera permissions for Stem Connect Field Tech through your device settings. Restricting camera access will prevent the capture of installation evidence photographs within the application.

Information collected through Stem Connect Field Tech is shared only as described below:

• Stem Connect operational personnel — authorised employees and managers within Stem Connect who require access to operational records for job management, verification, reporting, and support
• Intentio — as the developer and platform maintainer, Intentio processes data as necessary to operate, maintain, and support the application on behalf of Stem Connect
• Authorised service providers — third-party infrastructure, cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and authentication providers engaged by Intentio or Stem Connect who process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements and confidentiality obligations
• Legal or regulatory authorities — where required by applicable law, court order, regulatory requirement, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Stem Connect, Intentio, or others

Any sharing of information is limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Third-party service providers are engaged only where they provide appropriate security and confidentiality assurances.

Intentio and Stem Connect take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information collected through Stem Connect Field Tech against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

• Secure transmission — data transmitted between the application and backend services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols
• Secure storage — operational data, photographs, and job records are stored on secured infrastructure with appropriate access controls
• Authentication controls — access to the application and associated backend systems is restricted to authorised users through authentication mechanisms
• Access management — access to operational data is restricted to personnel who require it for legitimate operational, management, or support purposes
• Administrative safeguards — internal policies and procedures govern the handling, access, and processing of operational information

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we implement reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security against all possible threats or risks.

Operational records, job data, photographs, and related information collected through Stem Connect Field Tech are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to serve the following purposes:

• Business operations — maintaining accurate and complete records of field service activities, installations, and technician engagements
• Compliance and regulatory obligations — meeting applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual record-keeping requirements
• Audit and accountability — supporting internal and external audits, dispute resolution, and verification of operational activities
• Operational support — enabling retrospective review, warranty support, and maintenance of service histories

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, and applicable legal or contractual requirements. When information is no longer required for these purposes, it will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with applicable obligations.
